Questions

Can Zakat pay for the masjid’s electricity?

No. Zakat expenses only allow Zakat categories, such as the share for Zakat workers. Other costs belong to the general fund.

Can people apply for Zakat from the app?

Yes, if the masjid has a Zakat assistance form under Applications. Approving the application adds the person to the Zakat Cell as a receiver.
